Fake Animal Facts: Dinosaur Edition

If you don't read Carly's blog, Zauerbear, you're seriously missing out!  Her blog is full of magic and wonder in the best possible way!  About a month ago, she posted a wonderful game: Plastic Animals Scavenger Hunt, which prompted me to host my own - with a twist.
My friend works ridiculous hours at his job and while I was waiting for him to get off work one night, I decided I'd make the last few hours of his shift fun by hosting my own scavenger hunt only with dinosaurs and fake facts instead!



Armed with little dinos and tags, I quickly scribbled a few fake animal facts and attempted to hide them around his workplace.  It didn't work exactly the way I wanted it to but he appreciated the sentiment!
I'm going to try again at my job and see if it goes off a little better...

Daft Punk VS Justice (8 Bit Version)

I was visiting everyone's fave culturally relevant blog when I stumbled upon this entry.
To express my <3 for Daft Punk, I decided to play the game. I mean, who does Justice think they are? Stealing samples...tisk tisk...



I played through part of the first level while a DVD was burning but I had to go back to work. I'm not exactly sure how the rest of the game looks but I'm sure it's pretty fun. Looks like there needs to be some tweaks but I think it's pretty enjoyable for now. But then again - I only played through part of the first level.



So, Daft Punk-erize yourself and get your samples back!!!

Album Covers - the Game

For those of you who don't know, there's this new game on the internets.
Rules:

1 - Go to “wikipedia.” Hit “Random Article”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random

The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to “Random quotations”
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use Photoshop/MS Paint or similar to put it all together.

5 - Share with all your friends!

I finally got around to doing it and here's mine. It came together so perfectly, I felt the sheer emo / post-punk - ness of it all. I think I need a sweater.



We'll be touring with Weezer and Death Cab and { insert nerdy math-rock band name here }
