Daft Punk VS Justice (8 Bit Version)

I was visiting everyone's fave culturally relevant blog when I stumbled upon this entry.
To express my <3 for Daft Punk, I decided to play the game. I mean, who does Justice think they are? Stealing samples...tisk tisk...

I played through part of the first level while a DVD was burning but I had to go back to work. I'm not exactly sure how the rest of the game looks but I'm sure it's pretty fun. Looks like there needs to be some tweaks but I think it's pretty enjoyable for now. But then again - I only played through part of the first level.

So, Daft Punk-erize yourself and get your samples back!!!

Start a Hope Revolution!

My friend Krystyn, of HOPErevo, is trying to bring kindness back - in a BIG way. There is so much sadness and negativity in the world and this is a way to make it right.

Follow these simple steps and start making a change for the better - one message at a time.

I've been making handmade postcards for some time with the same kind of messages. I guess I just never had the guts / motivation to start leaving them where people could find them. Now I can with many thanks to Krystyn.

Start following the revolution on Twitter:

And most importantly, add your photos of spreading hope to the Flickr Pool!!

Kanye hearts Fishsticks!

So as we all know, South Park aired an episode that bashed Kanye West and his ego (and genius auto-tuning skills) in true South Park style.

And in true Kanye West style, he ALL CAPS BLOGGED about it.

I highly doubt the claim that Kanye is trying to control his ego. That's a load of ish and we all know it. He likes this and any other kind of attention he can get from whoever whenever.

BUT he did get it right when he said "Everything is not that serious".
Hopefully, he'll live by his own words. And maybe, one day, "Everything" will be replaced with "Auto-tuning" and he'll make better music.
We'll just have to wait and see...

The creepiest thing you'll ever see / do on the internets...

The fine folks over at Buzz Feed directed me to PhotoFace. There, you can upload a photo of yourself (or others) and turn it into a fucked up 3-D version. The eyes follow the arrow and you can totally change the expression from happy to sad to mad to surprised. The mad one looks the creepiest.
I wish I could send one to everybody!

Here's President Obama (one of the choices if you don't want to use your own photo)

Enjoy!

If that's too creepy for you, here's the cutest thing on the internets that has made me happy today.

El Bar thinks I'm a lady...screw you granny

I would like to think of myself as somewhat of a bar connoisseur. I acquired my first fake ID at the ripe age of 14. I went to my first bar with braces and even remember the first drink I bought...a Screwdriver. It was the only mixed drink I knew and I think this is funny because I HATE vodka. Therefore it means something for me to say a bar is a winner.

Anywho...as many of my excursions in the ATL with Oni, we always end up back at El Bar and believe me, they don't call it the bar for nothing . You can bank on having bangin' beats and badass drink specials any day of the week. Everyone is friendly, bartenders are great, DJs play until the floors are empty....Honestly, I wish I could site specific examples of the many fun nights I have had there, but the bartenders do such a great job that my memory and inhibitions usually leave me somewhere around midnight.

So stop in and say hi to Cory at the door ...tell him La and Oni sent you. We might be there...and you will always find us on the dancefloor!!!
